For the month of February, Galvin at The Athenaeum will become a chocolate-lovers paradise – filled with mouth-watering cocoa-based dishes, a chocolate-themed afternoon tea and a unique guided tasting. Food Writer and Chocolate Consultant, Cat Black has been the brains behind this delicious concept – sourcing a handful of artisanal chocolate makers from across the UK and appointing MasterChef finalists, Alex Talbot and Geoff Warburton to create the menus.
Prepare for a chocolate tasting like no other, with our six course degustation menu. Designed to change the way chocolate is thought about, this immersive guided menu not only highlights the vastly different flavour profiles of chocolate, but also the diversity of this spectacular ingredient.
From rich Dormouse 72% dark chocolate to light Pump Street 44% white chocolate, indulge in a one-of-a-kind chocolate afternoon tea. Available from 1 – 29 February 2020, the cocoa-inspired treats will be served alongside traditional scones and neat fingers sandwiches, not forgetting the essential ingredient – tea!
