Before joining the team, our Executive Head Chef, Ian Howard worked as Head Chef at Borough Market’s renowned Roast Restaurant and as Executive Head Chef at Babylon Restaurant and The Roof Gardens High Street Kensington.
His cooking style is simple and fresh, enticing the full flavours out of ingredients and adding an interesting and unexpected twist. Ian is passionate about sourcing the very best ingredients: “One of my favourite daily tasks is talking with suppliers to find out what their best produce is on any given day and transforming that into something magnificent for our customers.”
As per the latest government announcement, Tier 2 restrictions are in place across London and will therefore impact those visiting The Athenaeum. As a result, unfortunately we are unable to accept or honour bookings for multiple households. However, we can continue with the booking should you wish to visit with family or friends who live in the same household as yourself or if your booking is for business purposes.
