The Queen’s Accession Exhibition

A royal exhibition dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen’s accession to the throne in 1952. This exhibition presents portraits taken before the Queen acceded to the throne and will include various pieces of jewellery worn, such as the diamond tiara gifted by Queen Mary. Interestingly, from 1953 to 1971, these portraits were used as the basis for postage stamps.
