WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN / CHECK OUT?

Check in time is from 2pm, however, if your arrive early and your room is not ready, you can leave your bags with us for when you return. Check out is 12 noon.

CAN I CHECK IN EARLY / LATE?

If you are arriving early or fancy a bit of a lie-in, we will of course try to accommodate you. Please call Guest Services to arrange.

WHAT SOCKETS DO YOU HAVE IN THE ROOMS?

Excuse the physics lesson, but if you are staying in a hotel bedroom, you have 240V continental sockets and two-pin 110V sockets. If you are in a Residence, you will need a transformer to change the voltage.

DOES THE ATHENAEUM OFFER SERVICED APARTMENTS?

We have 18 stunning one bed room residences all with California king beds, kitchen, equipped with washer dryer, cooker hobs, oven and large fridges. Our twice daily maid service will ensure there is time to relax, all this along with your own front door in Mayfair.

DO YOU HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ROOMS?

Yes, some of our Superior rooms are wheelchair accessible. For more information, pricing and availability please contact the Reservations Team.

ARE THERE INTERCONNECTING ROOMS?

Yes, our Deluxe, Park View and Residences offer interconnecting rooms. For more information, pricing and availability please contact the Reservations Team.

ARE COTS AVAILABLE?

Many of our rooms are child-friendly and we can easily arrange cots and extra bedding for you. These are subject to availability, if required, please contact the Reservations Team prior to arrival.

WHAT ARE THE OPENING TIMES OF 116 AT THE ATHENAEUM?

The restaurant is open for;

Lunch & Dinner:

12 noon to 2.30pm

5.30pm to 10.30pm

Afternoon Tea:

Monday to Saturday: 12.30pm to 4.30pm

Sunday: 12.30pm to 5.30pm

ARE THERE FOOD MENUS THAT ARE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

We offer a full children’s menu in 116 at the Athenaeum.

DOES 116 AT THE ATHENAEUM OFFER ALTERNATIVES FOR PEOPLE WITH DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

If you have specific dietary requirements, please advise a member of the restaurant team who will be able to provide you specific information on each of our dishes.

DO I NEED A RESERVATION FOR THE BAR OR TERRACE?

We do not take reservations for THE BAR or terrace; tables are allocated on a first come first served basis.

DO YOU OFFER GENTLEMAN'S AFTERNOON TEA?

Our award winning afternoon tea is supplemented with a Gentleman’s afternoon tea, see our menu section for a full menu.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Unless you have booked a non-refundable rate, reservations must be cancelled by 6.00pm one day prior to your arrival to avoid a penalty.

Please note that our Residences have a cancellation policy of seven days prior to arrival.

HOW FAR IS THE HOTEL FROM THE NEAREST STATION?

We are only about a 5-minute walk from Green Park tube station (Victoria, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines), and less than 7-minutes from Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly Line).

We are within a five minute cab ride from Victoria station and just 15 minutes from Paddington and Waterloo stations.

DOES THE ATHENAEUM HOST EVENTS?

We have three event rooms, catering for up to 100 people.

DO YOU OFFER GIFT VOUCHERS?

Yes, you can purchase our gift vouchers here. We have a wide range of vouchers from spa, dining and overnight stays.

WHERE CAN I SMOKE AT THE ATHENAEUM?

We have a wonderful terrace at the front of the hotel, with comfortable seats to sit back and relax. We offer a wide range of cigars and tobacco products from THE BAR.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Yes, you can! We allow small dogs to stay by prior arrangement only. All guests are required to sign and agree our pet policy and pay a £1,000 refundable deposit. Please contact the hotel directly to arrange. Guide dogs are, of course, welcome.

DOES THE ATHENAEUM HAVE A GYM?

We have a 24 hour gym, available to our guests only, our Sauna, Steam room and cedar wood hot tubs are available Monday – Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 8.30am to 5.30pm

 

WHERE CAN I PARK NEAR THE ATHENAEUM?

Just at the rear of the hotel we have a NCP car park, however, our doorman can also park the car in there for you.

CAN I LEAVE MY LUGGAGE AT THE HOTEL BEFORE OR AFTER CHECK OUT TIME?

Yes, we are happy to look after your luggage from the day of your arrival to the day of your departure.

DO YOU OFFER A LAUNDRY SERVICE?

We offer a laundry and dry cleaning services for our guests, full prices can be found in your room.

CAN I HAVE A PACKAGE DELIVERED TO THE HOTEL DURING MY STAY?

Yes, please provide the delivery company with the name you made your reservation under and The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences full address. The package must clearly state your arrival date. Please inform the Reservations Team that we are to expect a delivery for you. PLEASE NOTE; The Athenaeum may at certain times remove this facility without prior notice.

CAN YOU ARRANGE A TAXI FOR ME?

We have a hotel car service; please contact Concierge if you would like to book a car or airport pickup. There is also a taxi rank outside of the hotel for your convenience, our Doorman will be happy to hail a taxi for you.

CAN YOU ARRANGE CHILDCARE?

Yes, we work with and can provide a fully qualified Nanny to look after your children. For more information, pricing and availability please contact Concierge.

CAN I HIRE A BIKE AT THE ATHENAEUM?

We have a range of bikes at the athenaeum, for the young and young at heart, contact concierge to book your bike.
