As a nod to World Whisky Day, our team at The Bar share one of their favourite whisky cocktails for you to recreate at home.

Whilst its spelling may be up for debate, one thing’s for certain – World Whisky Day deserves a mention, not least because of our extensive collection of bottlings here at The Bar. With a whole host of rare and intriguing varieties from around the world, this year, our bar team have chosen to champion the iconic Laphroaig in their one-of-a-kind ‘Bright Side’ cocktail. We can’t wait to throw open our doors once again for you to sample our tipples, but in the meantime, we’ve shared the recipe for this delicious whisky cocktail for you to try at home.
INGREDIENTS
35ml Laphroaig quarter cask 25ml lemon juice 15ml agave syrup 4 sage leaves Beer of your choice
METHOD
Combine the whisky, lemon juice and agave syrup in a cocktail shaker and give it a thorough shake
Fill a tall glass with ice and strain the cocktail on to the ice
Top up with beer
Garnish with a dry lemon wheel and sage leaves
