Just in time for Mother’s Day, we’ve recently discovered some new teas that we are excited to share with you. If you’re thinking of creating your own version of Afternoon Tea to treat your Mum, pair them with our delicious Chocolate Lamington’s recipe to make celebrating Mother’s Day at home extra special.
INGREDIENTS
125ml Almond Milk
15ml Olive Oil
Splash of vanilla essence
45g Sugar
130g Whole Wheat Flour
30g Ground Almonds
2g Baking Powder
2g Baking Soda
CHOCOLATE ICING
40g Cocoa Powder
250g Icing Sugar
120ml Almond Milk
120g Shredded Coconut
METHOD
Tregothnan teas are all grown in England and they actually sold Britain’s first homegrown tea in 2005, creating the ultimate Britishness in every cup. Here’s our pick of their teas for Mother’s Day.
Chocolate Mint
This Chocolate Mint is a smooth and rich infusion, without the indulgence of actual chocolate! Made with pure mint leaves which are selected for their chocolatey flavour profile to give a sweet finish with delicious hints of chocolate.
LAVENDER
This fragrant tea is subtle and delicate celebrating the flavours of both the tea and lavender.
AFTERNOON TEA
Tregothnan’s Afternoon Tea is hand-picked on our estate in Cornwall and blended with the Champagne of teas, Darjeeling. This is the most quintessentially British beverage.
We have also created our own blend of tea especially for Mother’s Day, using ingredients that will give a whole host of benefits! Why not give it a try yourself?
If you would like to complete your afternoon with finger sandwiches, scones and more cake, take a look at some more of our afternoon tea recipes. And if you’d rather leave the hard work to us, you can purchase our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Gift Voucher and treat her to our decadent afternoon tea when we re-open this Spring.
