Guests staying with us over the festive season between 17 and 27 December can enjoy all the trimmings of Christmas in our Festive Times experience. To get things started, you’ll receive a Christmas gift and Christmassy treats such as mince pies when you arrive. Adults will also receive a complimentary drink each in our bar and a festive meal for two in our restaurant by the Michelin-starred Galvin brothers. As if that wasn’t enough, guests will also have complimentary access to our new top-floor members-style club, The View, to enjoy the twinkling lights of London down below.
You can make the festive season stretch further at The Athenaeum by indulging in our New Year New Horizons offer, available until March 2019. While crisp winter days are waiting to turn into spring, you can get cosy at The Athenaeum for a couple of nights while enjoying the best of our 5* hotel. With this offer, you’ll receive a £150 gift credit to be used for food and drinks during your stay. Whether you’re after a specially curated cocktail at the bar, afternoon tea or an indulgent meal at Galvin at The Athenaeum, the choice is yours. Guests can also enjoy complimentary access to our spa and 24-hour gym in case it’s time for those new year’s resolutions to kick in.
Whether you want to celebrate the festive season with friends throughout December or wish to join us on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Eve, we’ve got an experience for you. Our three-course Chef’s Sparkling Menu is being served throughout the month and includes seasonal favourites with a twist, such as Christmas pudding with our rich brandy butter. If you want someone else to do the cooking on Christmas Day itself, we’ll be serving an indulgent Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings and a buffet in the evening. Or join us on Boxing Day for a decadent brunch. On New Year’s Eve, there aren’t many better places to be, as we’ll be serving three and five course menus that will help you see in 2019 in true style.
If you’re looking for a place to soak up the magic of a London Christmas this December, your search is officially over. Our brand new Winter Terrace comes adorned with sparkling winter decorations, warming heaters and Bollinger blankets. Once you’re feeling suitably cosy, it’s time to choose from our indulgent Winter Terrace menu. You’ll warm up from the inside out with mulled wine, a hot toddy, a boozy hot chocolate with rum or our special hot rum and mandarin punch. Foodie treats come in the form of comfort food such as winter truffle macaroni and cheese, sliders of yellowfin tuna and Cumbrian beef, a Valrhona fondue sharer, and much more.
