3pm – Time to check in
This is it. It’s finally time to log off and check in to your Christmas hotel stay in London! Gather the family and head over to The Athenaeum where you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome at our doors and ushered into a Christmas wonderland. We pull out all the stops and have ‘decked the halls’ to give you that warm and cosy feeling.
4pm – Last-minute Christmas shopping…
Christmas shopping is a breeze when you have an endless variety of shops and markets right outside your door. Make a quick stop at our concierge. Miguel knows the ins and outs of Christmas shopping in London and can help you navigate your way, be it on foot or helping you book a taxi.
8pm – Dinner is served
Shopping bags safely stowed, head downstairs to 116 at The Athenaeum to indulge in our delicious five-course festive tasting menu.
10pm – Cocktails courtesy of Alex
End the night in our bar with a sip of whiskey or signature cocktail, courtesy of Head Barman, Alex.
10am – Take a stroll through the park…
Green Park, Hyde Park, St James’ Park – take your pick! There is always something in any of the London parks for the whole family to enjoy. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will be in full swing from 18 November to 2 January and is only a seven-minute walk from The Athenaeum.
1pm – Afternoon tea awaits…
Time for tea! Head back to The Athenaeum for a warming cup of tea and a nibble on our festive-inspired finger sandwiches and treats. There’s no better way to end an afternoon tea than with a glass of bubbly (or two!).
7pm – City lights…
Experience the magic of Christmas in London by taking a walk along Regent Street to view the Christmas lights. The Spirit of Christmas decorations illuminate the traffic-free streets from Oxford Circus to Waterloo Place, all located a hop, skip and a jump away from The Athenaeum.
10am – Welcome to Hogwarts!
You can’t visit London without exploring the magical world of wizardry. The Hogwarts in the Snow exhibition at the Warner Bros Studio Tour is a must for Harry Potter fans. Learn more about it here.
4pm – Discover an urban haven
Following the eventful few days exploring the city, you deserve to take some time for yourself. Our spa is a tranquil haven where you can escape the bustling city and enjoy a Temple Spa treatment to melt away any pre-Christmas tensions.
8pm – Take in The View
Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, take a trip up to the 10th floor to take in London’s skyline. The View is our exclusive residents-only lounge, boasting panoramic views that are best enjoyed during sunset, Champagne in hand.
8.30pm – Dinner at 116 at The Athenaeum
Since day one of your stay, you’ll likely have been thinking about all the dishes you didn’t get the chance to sample from the 116 at The Athenaeum menu. Now’s your chance!
9am – Lie in with room service
No hotel stay is complete without a slow morning in. Room service will spoil you with the tastiest of breakfasts, freshly prepared by our talented chefs.
10am – Just before you go…
The time has come to check out, but make the most of your last day in London by leaving your bags with concierge and heading out for one final hurrah. Explore Shepherd’s Market just around the corner or take a last stroll through Regent’s Park to take in some fresh air before heading home. See some local attractions here for inspiration.
