Partnership with Temple Spa

May was the month that things slowly began to return to normal for us. Guests started to trickle back through our doors and as we re-opened our boutique spa, we also unveiled our new partnership with luxury skincare brand, Temple Spa. Cruelty-free, vegan and sustainable, we are delighted to be working in partnership with the team. Have you tried the ‘All that Glitters’ Signature Treatment yet? Using products from the ultra-softening Truffle range, it’s certainly what our skin has needed over the cold winter months…

In July, we were thrilled to welcome a new face to the family. Sergei Kuzmin joined us as Head Pastry Chef and has continued to wow guests and colleagues alike with his inspiring creations. The return of Jim the Doorman

After a motorcycle accident left Jim unable to greet guests on the door, in August we were delighted to welcome him back. His wonderful beaming smile had been greatly missed by us all!

Chelsea Flower Show Afternoon Tea

To honour the world’s greatest flower show, our Head Pastry Chef, Sergei, created the most beautiful bespoke Chelsea Flower Show afternoon tea, complete with chocolate and blackberry ‘hydrangeas’ and mango and passionfruit ‘sunflowers’ – both of which looked far too good to eat! For those of you keen to sample Sergei’s delicious work, you’re in luck! Keep your eyes peeled in February for his special Valentines afternoon tea…

Throughout 2021 we were elated to have won numerous hospitality awards – most notably having achieved 33^rd place in the Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2021 for ‘Favourite London Hotel’!

From ‘Best Service’ at Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence and our very own Joanne Taylor-Stagg winning ‘Manager of the Year’ at The Cateys 2021, to Sharon McArthur winning ‘Food and Beverage Manager of the Year’ at The Hotel Cateys 2021 and Juris Dubrovskis claiming ‘The One to Watch’ at the Independent Hotel Show Awards, we wish to take this moment to thank each and every one of you, our guests, for supporting us, particularly after another turbulent year for hospitality. Here’s to 2022!
