With Buckingham Palace just a stones throw away and visible from our 10th floor Lounge, The View, The Athenaeum is the ideal spot to soak up the atmosphere and join the capital’s celebrations.

Enjoy our royal-inspired afternoon tea, walking tours and discover a whole host of events to celebrate this momentous occasion. From Trooping the Colour to A Service of Thanksgiving at the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral on 3rd June, there will be plenty going on to get involved in.

Platinum Jubilee Walking Tour

We’ve partnered with Henrietta Ferguson Luxury Tours who work with Blue Badge Guides to deliver first-class walking tours in London. They’ve put together a special tour in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee which will set off from The Athenaeum and, thanks to our central location, allows you to see some of London’s unmissable Royal sights. These include The Queen’s exquisite state carriage, St James’ Palace and a walk along Piccadilly to discover some of the worlds finest shops which have been awarded a Royal Warrant. Your expert tour will be able to share lesser-known stories and show you hidden gems you wouldn’t find otherwise.

Jubilee Afternoon Tea

What better British tradition is there than afternoon tea? Our Head Pastry Chef, Sergei Kuzmin, has created a royal-inspired afternoon tea which features The Queen’s favourite sandwiches and cakes, with a selection of ingredients from suppliers with a Royal Warrant, as only the best will do.

Sandwiches include Coronation chicken with bread from The Bread Factory. Alongside our scones, we will serve Wilkin & Sons jam, who have held a Royal Warrant since 1911 and when it comes to homemade cakes, expect a traditional Victoria sponge and the Queen’s favourite, Battenberg.

£45 per person. Available Monday 30th May – Sunday 5th June.
