London in the Summer is a cultural haven, with a myriad of outdoor concerts to suit all musical tastes and age groups.

The London Theatre scene has something for everyone, whether you are looking for drama, comedy, family shows or a musical.

Our must-see shows for the forthcoming season are:

Pygmalion - a George Bernard Shaw classic at the Old Vic.

Gone with the Wind – An iconic musical at the New London Theatre

God of Carnage – staring Ralph Fiennes and Tamsin Griegg at the Gielgud Theatre

Jersey Boys – a tribute to Frankie Vallie at the Prince Edward Theatre

Hairspray – Big hair and big fun at the Shaftesbury theatre.

 

And the Shakespeares Globe is open throughout the summer, with classics such as King Lear, Midsummer Nights Dream and the Merry Wives of Windsor.

 

The Hampton Court Palace Festival, legendary for its intimate open-air setting and stellar line-up offers an eclectic series of performance, with appearances by some of the greatest musical legends of our time. This year’s line up includes Rufus Wainwright, Curtis Stigers, Ray Davies, Jools Holland, Van Morrison and Katherine Jenkins. The combination of balmy summer nights, picnics in the 17th century gardens and the performances in the Palace Courtyard make this festival a magical and unforgettable experience.

Hard Rock Calling is an annual concert weekend in Hyde Park. This year will feature Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, and the Police, who will be playing their final concert.

For the thespians who enjoy open air theatre, head to Regents Park. This season will feature traditional favourites such as Twelfth Night, Midsummer Nights Dream and Romeo and Juliet.
