Try something different this winter and experience our truly unique whisky and food pairing evenings at just £39 per person.

Co-hosted by Angelo Gobbi the hotel's dedicated whisky sommelier and the country's leading connoisseurs, participants will enjoy a unique whisky and food pairing experience that aims to welcome those new to the spirit whilst providing a greater depth of knowledge for seasoned whisky enthusiasts.

The whisky socials will take place over four dates this winter:

  • 6th October 2011 - Aberfeldy & Dewars with Keeper of the Quaich Roger Mallindine
  • 24th November 2011 - Balvenie Whisky with Dr. Andrew Forrester
  • 25th January 2012 (Burn's Night) - Macallan Whisky with David Frewin
  • 21st March 2012 - Dalmore Whisky with Master Blender Richard Paterson


The events feature a delectable menu served with an accompanying whisky chosen to complement each dish and tantalise your taste buds. For example, guests can try the Chicken Liver Parfait with Red Onion Marmalade paired with an 'Athenaeum Whisky Sour' made with Dewar's White Label. .
